Pakistani Loach & Cories compatibility?

Heard some tales of Loaches eating the eyes of Cories.

I'm trying to get rid of snails in my planted tank. I have quite a bunch
of Cories running around in there.

Is the Pakistani (aka Yo-yo) Loach a safe companion to these Cories?

Loach-online does not specify anything on species compatibility.

I personally dont keep the combination of fish you are asking. Dont mean any punt but who actually told you this tale? Its because I dont think any cories will just sit there while the loaches pounce on them to eat their eyes?

I have loaches, and I have cories... unfortunately they happen to be in different tanks... Having said that, I find it difficult to believe that what you described could happen.

Firstly my experience with my loaches are that they are community fishes... Secondly, I doubt any cory (except one that is very sick) is gonna sit there and let its eye get sucked out.

i can confirm + guarantee the MYTH came from loaches being caught eating the eyes of DEAD cories
there are fish that DO prey on the eyes of live fish, but iirc they're cichlids
your cories are safe with the loaches

erm...actually i had similar experience with loaches attacking cories.. but it was my skunk loach which peck the eyes of the cory..the cory sort of survived and lived on for quite some time before it finally died..
and my SAE has a missing eye for er...about a year already..
i did read somewhere abt articles online saying abt this incompatibility.
