very unexpected spawn.. female turned yellow 1 week ago. but this few days have been finding the eggs. no matter where i searched. i just cant find it.

so thought that its just the female turning horny.. today was getting ready to sell my plants.. found a patch of debris.. take a close look.. turn out to be the fries! had a good shock. now, not ready for any thing. tank messy messy. no food prepared(only have decap brine shrimp) i do hope the fries pull through.

now there goes my cory comm plan.
but well.. im very happy this pair spawn though..

thanks bro. sadly, i will only keep the fries.. once the fries grow up a little i have to sell the pair.. space constrain...

anyway. mama have brought her children to the moss area for a rest..

papa fish very auto.. hiding under his driftwood.. i think i will remove him a few days later.. to another tank.. worried that he might eat the fries.

one day, a mother of a batch of apistogramma fries bring her children out to play.
" is this safe for my kids?"

"weeeee lets check this out brothers and sisters!"

Take cover children! i saw a big monster(me) infront of me!"

    "hide among the moss!"

lol.. sorry but im too bored.. so make a story out of it..
anyway heres the area the mummy is guarding the fries.. the pot i just add in yesterday to aid the female in guarding the fries.. but end up the male slept inside it and so i mange to remove the male easily.

day 12 of fries free swimming.
currently feeding on decap brine shrimp and live daphina.
noticed that mother started to loose on keeping them safe.. she can go to another side of the tank just to feed.. but will soon get back to her fries..

one of the fries.. look at the blue cheek!

last counted.. agar agar 35 fries..

update fries are 42 days old, now heavy feeding and more WC, they have grown faster!
i think i have a alpha male, reaching 2cm long, saw him chasing the other apistos.
the others are about 1.5cm now.
