Killies at the Shops

Ok was down at Clementi again for some fish and equipment shopping. Got myself 2 fat Sterba's Corys and while I was busy catching them Sterba's, guess what, a new batch of killies in TINY packets being floated in the tank right beside the one I was focused on. Among those packets I saw at least 3 young male Fp. arnoldi that really resembled those from the Ughelli TR-01 population pictured in Alf's series of photos on Tim Addis's site. No females though and I didn't buy these. The others were male Nothobranchius palmqvisti and young male Fp. gardneri clauseni Akure albino.

I didn't see this post before posting mine.... Can I ask if the shop you went to is the shop in the middle?

If its that shop, I saw those killies too... But the weird thing is that they are packed in small packets which are airtight. Will there be enough air for survival?

Hi Jason,

Nope, the shop I was at is the one beside a clinic. Actual name of the shop is Clementi Florist and Aquarium. Everyone refers to it as C328. Unfortunately no, those "airtight" packages will run out of air sooner or later and the poor killies will be gasping for air. They'll either die of asphyxiation or stress.
