    Can't say I like it...

I got some eggs from Kenjiro Tanaka of the aquarium strain that gives yellow males. I got a few fish from the peat. Of the 3 males only 1 manifested the colour you show but I culled all the males anyhow and only kept the females. I'm crossing the females into my old line (of which I only have 2 males left, this is the same line as Erik has) and will be selecting only for red and getting rid of the yellow... this will probably take 2 generations.

    I like my foerschi RED.

Hi Au, its probably just a normal mutation. If you spawned this male the offspring may appear normal but they'd carry the same gene as their father which causes this diluted colour. Crossing the siblings may produce the same colour form again.

It is a very nice fish though.
    Fish.. Simply Irresistable
    Back to Killies... slowly.
