I must say that the article was well written. It gives an insight to the different methods of breeding the various killies species.

Hi, folks,
Keep a lookout for the latest issue (No. 63) of "Aqualog news" the next time you're in a local fish shop. The article titled "Keeping Killifishes as a hobby" written by Jianyang, Ronnie Lee and I can be found on pages 7 to 9 of the journal.
The journal is available in Aqualog's booth in Aquarama but I'm not sure if it's distributed to the fish shops yet. In the article, 3 species of Killifish are highlighted. They are: Nothobranchius rachovii (a peat spawner), Pseudepiplatys annulatus (a plant spawner) and Simpsonichthys fulminantis (a peat diver).

The article highlighted this forum's address. I don't know if there will be a flood of new subscribers when the journal hits the fish shops but I hope everyone will help us remind the newbies to follow our forum rules and netiquette.
We have to get ourselves ready to knock a few heads

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Is Aqualog available in the U.S.? I've never seen one![]()
Deborah
Deborah, I believe the larger Aqualog books are distributed in the U.S. by one of the aquatic-related companies. I'm not sure if this magazine form is available there since its meant for the Asian countries I think.
Refer to this website for Aqualog publications:

The Aqualog News we get here is a different one from the version printed in Germany, which is usually in German. There is an English edition but I'm not sure if its available in the U.S. or Singapore for that matter.

Oh poohI'm not sure if this magazine form is available there since its meant for the Asian countries I think.Maybe it will show up on aquabid one of these days

Deborah
Probably not I guess. On Aquabid there's a seller from Germany who has most of the range of Aqualog publications on auction but I don't think he has access to the South-east Asian edition of the News.
If you need one let me know. I can send one over for its cost and postage. Its quite low-priced actually since its meant as a hobby periodical.![]()

Oh yes, I want one! But, it will be in Chinese? (granted I spoke a little Chinese when I was a baby, but it's long been lost and I couldn't never read it..boohoo).
Deborah
It's in English, Deborah. As writers of the article, we will be getting some free copies soon but instead of sending the journals out to fellow hobbyists who live in other countries, I would suggest Jianyang post the article here. But let's wait a while before we do that as we don't want to *steal the thunder" from the publisher. It wouldn't be nice.Originally Posted by Piscesgirl
