They are 3 months old but really not clearly colored as males. According to killidata-online as well as my own experiences they should be more differentiated at half of that time. So what are their size?

Erik, thanks for the comments. Yes, I believe they have been growing slowly. I feed them live brine shrimp, live daphnia, paste food and some commercial food. They grew slowly during the first 2 months in plastic tanks (aerated, frequent water changes -about every 2 days-, unheated -at ~20-22ºC) until I put them in my 20 gallon planted tank at a higher temp (25ºC). Here they started to grow faster and got some color but I initially transfer only a couple of fish to this tank. This particular fish is about 2 inches but the rest of the batch are smaller (some even less than 1 inch, this fish were transfered about 2 weeks ago). Also, I have noticed that some fish have a red tint while others seem to be more gray. In addition, when I first transfered the fish to the large tank they were almost totally white, like albinoes, but after some time in the light they got "tanned". Any ideas about this?
Thank you for your comments, I hope they grow well in the end.
Tony
