Just now tiny up my baby fish tank and found this. The plant is completely submerge but seems to be "mutated".

Anyone can tell me whats going on?

    Hi Kee Hoe,

It's normal for this plant to grow new shoots which is submerge form when the tip of the plant is near to the water surface.

Looks like Water Wisteria, Hygrophila difformis. The leaves underwater get very jagged and divided, whereas the above water leaves are usually rounded and undivided like in your picture.

Thanks. This plant is one of my favourite. Fast growing, absorb a lot of nutrient.

So, if the plant continue to grow. It will become a half submerge plant?
