    hi guys

What's your experience with this moss?

Does it fasten to wood easily? or is it like Vesicularia's and don't fasten?

I have some wood with flamemoss tied to it.

strange, the moss actually slightly grows away from my driftwood.
    Kindest Regards,

    Martin

It's kind of quiet around here these days, Martin. So please forgive us if no one took the trouble to answer your question.

I don't have a lot of Flame Moss in my tanks but as far as I know, they cling pretty well to driftwoods. The last time I pulled some out for a friend, I had to actually use some strength (just a tad) to detach the moss from the driftwood on which it was growing on.

I tied some flamemoss horizontally on a drift wood. After a couple of months, they bear branches that are growing vertically. so far have one big bunch, trying to find more space to tie more.

    Hi Martin,

Here are some updated pictures of my flame moss I got from a buddy awhile back. I'm not sure if its attached to the wood or if it attaches well. You can see little braches off of it, but I believe it could and would like it to fully branch out. Its a pretty fast and easy grower.

Hi Dennis, it doesn't look like the flame moss to me, at least a little different from mine. Yours doesn't 'flame' as much as mine.

I will take some pictures of mine in the office. Will post them up for comparison tonight.

That is flame moss don't worry. I can tell by the pictures..., (sad aye, got it this week and stared at it long enough to be able to distinguish it from every other moss in the hobby...)

The "flaming" has to do with CO2, Light, And nutrients.

If anyone needs to get rid of some Let me know

I only have 2sq inches at the moment
