Axelrodia riesei - ruby tetra
Axelrodia riesei - ruby tetra
There can only be ONE
Hi Bro khseah79,
In case you're still on the lookout for this fish, Biotope
has just got a tankful of it. Fish probably just came
in not long as the colour is on the lighter side but the size
is pretty promising. Generally, they came in very small size
but this shipment the size is much larger.
Axelrodia riesei often look drab in a dealers tank. They never seem to show good color until they are settled in, particularly in a nicely planted tank. There are some stores here in the states that wont stock them for that reason.
A. riesei can have varying degree of colour saturation as can seen in these two specimens. I am not sure if they represent sexual dimorphism.
