I visited a river in Zhejiang province last Saturday with my friend Li Fan, who works intensively on Rhinogobius species. According to him before the trip, this is probably the most interesting river in the region. We recorded 7 species of Rhinogobius in the same spot!

The river, and catching or photographing Rhinogobius hurts my back a lot..

It's spring...I love visiting this part of the country during this time of the year.

    Re: Rhinogobius fever

Start with the most common Rhinogobius giurinus, also found in Singapore as introduced species...

    two more with definite identity...

Rhinogobius lentiginis, a very beautiful species...

And Rhinogobius wuyiensis, described by Li, also found here. Too bad this is a female..
