    Re: My Echi 4 footer

As you guys can see, my echinodorus have started to melt away with new shoots growing out from the base.

Water seems to be constantly stained by tannin released from the DW. Have been thinking of using purigen but will wait and see. FOC 'blackwater effect'

Welcome your comments and ID for the plants Some are collected from Muar.

Looking for more echinodorus sp. Any one?

    Re: My Echi 4 footer

I think I saw some BBA on some of the echi....and if I am not wrong, u are using the wavemakers to direct flow to the affected areas?

I think you should also try upping your CO2 to combat the BBA. I had an experience with BBA once....when I tried to direct the water flow to the area of BBA infestation, they actually grow more!!! In the end I realised that my CO2 reactor is nor very efficient and thus having fluctuating levels of CO2. Once I corrected that, the BBA significantly reduced.

    Re: My Echi 4 footer

Im using a Jaqno CO2 reactor for the moment and is still evaluating the rate of mixing. Jervis, can you share your experience in using the reactor?

The BBA is carried over from my previous tank. The Koralias are placed there temporarily until I can think of a better place to place them.
