Exploring in a subterranean stream of Jambusan

April 18, 2009. A beautiful day to survey & explore the cave in Jambusan area. There are a lot of caves in Jambusan but most of them are hidden by the jungle.

This is my first time to explore in this subterranean stream. As I didn't plan properly for this trip, I forgot to bring 2 important things: tripod & extra batteries for my torch light.

Pix 8: some parts of the stream are very deep.....so need to walk slowly & carefully.

pix 10: Out there is a dense jungle. Without map & GPS, we had no clue about our location. I decided to keep walking since there is a jungle path outside the cave. I believe the path will lead us to nearby village.

Pix 23: This is my first time to see the wild Clarias leiacanthus in the subterranean stream (walking catfish)!!! This one is 30cm long! Some of them are really big.....about 60 - 70cm!!!! One of them even swam passed my legs.....awesome catfish!!!
