I think it cld be a dragonfly nymph, anyway, according to Timebomb, u just need one dragonfly nymph to create chaos in the tank, best if u can search the tank and see if there is anymore of them ard
2 days ago, i wanted to plant one of my plants in my 2' feet. This plant all the way was still in a pot. I wanted to trim it first before planting it. As I took it out of the tank, i disturbed the stalks a little in case there are shrimps hiding inside. Saw a little movement and I was wondering how come the "shrimp" is a little weird looking... it's not long... in fact it seems to be shorter n rounder. When I took a closer look, to my surprise, it resembles more like a bug/insect. Caught the fella and took a picture of it.
I checked online and found that this little fella is actually a MayFly nymph. Anyone ever encountered this? Does MayFly actually exists in Singapore?

That's what I heard too. One of these can bring total chaos to your tank, especially if you have small fishes. Care to post the pic for us?

it makes me wonder how i got into the tank in the first place.
the usual transport is plants, make sure u thoroughly clean the plants before planting them.. cleaning also eliminates snails too
yeah, found a caterpillar like thing in each of my tanks. wrap itself with leaves from the plants.
caught it as i saw the leaves moving weirdly along the glass. hunt around the two tanks but did not see any more of these buggers.[]

Yup, the insect looking thingy probably comes from the plants you just bought as eggs attached. Better get it out before it eating fish. Can use a siphon tube to ambush it.
The caterpillar thingy is a aquatic moth. Quite interesting to watch, only problem is that it eats/chew plants.
Other stuff I got before are hydra, leeches (yucks!), small swimming stuff which I never ID, worms, all sorts of snails... etc.
