Hey guys, because of the hot temperature nowadays, my tank can reach up to 29 - 30 degree on the hot afternoon. My christmas moss has not been doing well ever since. I'm been thinking getting a new type of moss for my tank. Light is about 3.2wpg. So which moss will do well under this type of condition? Will spiky moss do well? Thanks!

I have no idea why people find spiky moss easy to handle. I used to have them, they grew slowly. and on top of that, they died after growing for quite a bit..

Currently, I have Taiwan Moss.. got from a fellow forum friend. It is growing very well in my tank now. Even if the temp is 30 deg. on top of that, they grew really quite fast. I even gave to 2 friends to start their colony of moss. So now my tank is kinda naked.

Can you explain more on the christmas moss? How is it not doing well? Turn brown or growing very thin?

I would think java moss is one of the few (if not the only one) that can survive in such temperature.

The christmas moss was turning very thin. I did not notice much grow rate also.
