did you open the regulator too much?
hi all!
I need help urgently!
i just bought a co2 cylinder!
This is my 1st time setting it up and have no idea.
I attempted it on my own...and the next thing i know...co2 gas is filling the room!
And my bubble counter exploded
got cut in the process
Someone advice me the steps?or is the cylinder faulty?or can i get it to any LFS to check it for me?
did you open the regulator too much?
are you using a proper regulator or an on/off valve as a regulator?
how many gauges does the regulator have?
most likely you are using an on/off valve as a regulator. after you setup, you'll need to turn the main valve a little only. in your case, you must have turned the main valve by too much. this results in over-pressure, thus bursting the bubble counter.
if you are unsure, it is better to check with the lfs where you bought it.
hopefully, your cuts are minor. do be careful when working with high pressure stuff.

i dont think so.
i read online that i need to use a wrench to tighten the regulator?or hand tighten is sufficent?
correct me if i am wrong.
1. i close the valve on the regulator
2.turn on the main knob on the co2 tank?
3.adjust the regulator?
1) turn the knob at the cylinder to "off"
2) fix the regulator to the tank
3) turn the knob of the regulator to "off"
4) turn on the cylinder knob - now the needle of the regulator meter will show the pressure reading
5) release the regulator knob slowly to get the required bps
must i tighten the regulator with a wrench?
or is hand tighten enough?
Yes, you have to tighten it with a wrench. But I do need some exact description on what really happens. Because your description is quite vague. From what you said, the bubble counter exploded, I guess something must have blocked the air outlet from the bubble counter in order to got it exploded. On the other hand, even if you open to valve on the cylinder fully, I think there shouldn't be a problem because there's another valve together on your soleniod or regulator. But my concern is, did you actually installed a regulator or soleniod valve in the first place? If yes, I guess the regulator is faulty.

Desmond
Post a picture of your regulator. Maybe your regulator is not mean fro high pressure
hi bros!
Thanks for your help guys.
I got the problem solved
think it was due to my carelessness i left the regulator fully opened and turned on the main valve
Thanks for your help again!![]()
did you use check valve? if so make sure it is at the right direction. That probably the reason why your bubble counter exploded.
