    I have a tank with only moss for the setup. Do I need to dose Seachem excel since I do not intend to inject any CO2? How does Seachem excel help? Or is it not required at all? Any advice?

    IME, seachem excel is not necessary in your case. not required at all. Cool and clean water is required though
