    According to the folowing website, the Blyxa japonica that we have been IDing all this while is actually Blyxa novoguineensis:

    Hmmm, looks like that's the case... unless they got it wrong. However, it is a Japanese site so they should know their flora quite well.

    if it grows well, i couldn't be bothered less if they called it blyxa biteme []

    anyway, that could explain why dennerle states that it's very difficult while we find no problem growing it at all
