will the 1/15hp chiller be able to cool a 3x1.5x1.5ft tank?
volume should be less than 40gallons taking into account substrate and lower water level.

    thanks for feedback.

Hmm... i'm using a 1/10 for a 3ft of that size.. heard for 1/10 can go to about 4feet 1.5 1.5 but thats about max. so i would presume that for a 3ft running 1/15... that should also be about max.
Somethings need to be considered when running equpiments at max output.

i'm using a 1/10 arctica for my 3ft tank. Works well. More efficient as it takes shorter time to cool but that also depends on your flow rate. i'm using a 2028.

just googled the max volume the 1/15 can handle, 42G. (jbj site down)
so i guess it will be running close to max even with lower water and substrate.
getting the right flowrate will hopefully help.

anyone else with similar setups? running chiller almost to max recommended vol?
    thanks

When purchasing a chiller, it is wise to purchase a step up than what you require. The reason being is when the hot month are upon us, the chiller would be able to cope with the increase in the time that it need to cool down the water.

If you already have a chiller, just use it, save money than rather having to purchase another 1. The money you saved from purchasing another chiller can be used to buy a good filter or something.
