Plants can be reused.... no problem... even hairgrass or tenellus. In fact, the plants that you buy are grown somewhere, dug up, sold to you and plant into your tank. Dun see why it's not possible to reuse your plants.
don't particularly like the look of my tank now so planning to re-do the whole setup this weekend.
however,not sure if plants can be dug up n replanted...esp the delicate forground ones such as hairgrass n e.tenellus

try to pick out the healthier ones for your own tank
maybe you can trade off the rest
