just got a pair from Biotope yesterday...
    my most expensive fish yet...

anybody knows if they can be kept in a community tank with the following:
    - platty
    - oto
    - cory
    - cherry shrimps (baby ones as well)

also, what type of food is best for them in order to bring out their colour?

i have pushed a small glass bottle (baby formula type) deep into the gravel in place of stones and ceremic pots to act as a breeding cave for them... will it work?

Hi, my kribs are fine with all my other fishes, tetras, rummynose, pencil, guppy, etc, but only prob is shrimps mysteriously disappear very quickly. so I think your cherry shrimp, esp due to its small size, is fair meal for the krib.

managed to see them attack my shrimps this morning... and also found the skeleton of one of my Oto lying around...

sigh... think must set up my 1ft tank again...
such a waste, it would have been nice to see them in a planted community tank...

I doubt it was responsible for the attack on your oto? but shrimps def. if you can live without having shrimps inside your tank then I think your krib can still stay in your community tank?

but the Otos have been doing well in there with the shrimps eversince...

it was only after putting this new pair that one of the Oto was found dead...

true these cichlids cost a bomb to me but my shrimps have been breeding in this tank, so they are more impt to me than my Dehanes...

Think is better to move the shrimps into the 1 ft instead of the Dehanes...a bit small for them [:]

    Really pretty fish ! []
