Can someone help me. Thinking of using Gex soil but I have no idea how many packets I need. My tank is a typical 4 feet tank. I read they have it in packets of 8kg. So how many of them?

    If it's a 4x2 base I would recommend 5 bags. 4x1.5 you can use 4 bags

I recommend you plan out how you want to plant your scape, find where you are going to place your 'plant island', then you can calculate how much soil you really need and the other parts of the tank, you can use cheaper alternative or decorative stones and pebbles as part of your hard scape.

4x8kg is just nice for 4x1.5x1.5. You will probably need 1 more to have a steeper gradient. LFS in yishun is selling 3x8kg for $100 you might want to check it out.
