Can't do setting on my resale Resun Chiller

Anyone able to help? The chiller running fine but i can't do any setting on the control panel. Is it that my control panel is spoilt and how much and where to send for repair? Please help...

can opt to add on an external thermostat fox brand. can be purchased at sim lim for $6x. comes with external temperature probe as well.

Thanks for the advise. Btw Wat is the advantage of external thermostat? I mean if my controller is not spoilt, I wun need tat right? Juz for clarification only as I m a noob.

hi bro, if you are o.k with the present temp setting now..
i suggest you just leave it alone...

if now you want to adjust the temperature setting
and the setting panel is spoilt...maybe you would like to get a external thermostat and ask someone with a techie knowledge to mod for you..
all in should be around $100...hope this helps

That what i am thinking too but i am definately not ok with the present temp setting so that why scouting around for solution lor. hehe...

May seriously consider looking for a external thermostat or maybe return the whole chiller to the previous owner which i got online.

can you described what happen on control panel? does the temperature indication turn on? do you able to press the up or down arrow?

In order for external thermostat to work, you still need to set the temperature in the chiller to the lowest, otherwise it wont kick in.

Once i turn on my chiller, the temp will began to drop all the way till 20 degree so i presume the previous owner required temp is 20degree.
When i press on the setting button or + and - button, it doesn't even response at all. The chiller is working fine and my glasses are frosted in 20degree, is just that the button don't response when press.
Do you think an external thermostat would solve the whole issue?

yes external thermostat should help as long as you set your thermostat target temperature > 20 degree

It could be the child lock thing. Try to press either up/down arrow button simultaneously for around 10secs, see whether it works or not. Some models do have child lock system.

I did try to press and hold for 10sec on the setting and up and down button but to no avail leh.

I have a Resun CL280 chiller but the gas is empty and not worth servicing anymore. I can give it to you, you can savage the controller or what ever parts you need. PM me if you interested.
