Before starting a tank to breed some livestock, I would like to get a question cleared first..

I would be using a canister filter for the tank that I'm going to buy and I am worried that the intake of the filter would suck up those newly-born fry of my livestock..

Is there a way to modify the intake or any add-on like a sponge head for the intake or something that will make the tank a more "fry-friendly environment"?

Thanks for the advise in advance..

adding of Sponge is another method or like me tied some wire cloth around the inlet (auntie from c328 told me).

Another more exp way is to buy ADA inlet lily pipe, presume you are using an external canister.

Yup.. Would be going for a external canister filter.. And a higher powered one for that matter.. Want good clean water with a good flow..
