I have to say all the discus in the tank is very healthy. The living condition is so good that one pigeon blood (male) is attempting to spawn with another Turquoise stripe

The rest of the discus - they are round and mature. Majestic and flaring. Their tails are not damage. Simply nice and I have to comment here.

I'm quite amazed by the condition/quality of their display tank discus too! Quite breathtaking

That's probably part of what contributes to the good condition of the discus. Discus feel more comfortable in dim lighting than in bright lighting. If the fish are happy, they tend to display their colours better.

illumnae, I do agree with you on the lights. In addition, constant dim light especially when there are fries around, so that the parents will not get frightened when they "see" people outside or shadows or eliminate reflection. This was brought up in one of the PFK article - and it was an apistogramma breeding article. This techique is brought over from rearing of discus fries.

No Photography is because they might be worried about the flash may spooked the discus.
No filming as we know Discus are very easily spooked again. Too many movement may stressed them out.

I think they are going to change concept again. I remembered Koi and carps were the previous occupants.
