I know a UVC is gd for killing bacteria and algae which is suspended in the water. How abt algae which is growing on plants and the side of the tank?

Can the UVC reduce/kill the algae which is on plants and the tank wall?

I have gd lights, CO2 ,follow the dosage instuctions for my fertiliser and change 50% of the water weekly and I'm still getting algae.

Bro, UVC is not a silver bullet that will wipe out everything for you. Only those in the water then UVC can do something about it. Those on the plants and wall you gotta do something like wash your plants and wipe the glass surface.
