Puffer fish coexist with Goldfish?

Hi,

The killer snail I got didn't do it's job. Thinking of getting a puffer fish for my planted tank with has about 40 other neon + shrimps.

I thought of leaving the puffer fish in this tank for a few days till it did it job and then move him to my goldfish tank to await future duties.

Do u think each will bite the other?

i think the puffer fish will go after your snail and also our shrimp. And puffer fish like to nip on other fish fin. i've seen puffer fish attack neon terta one by one too

I have seen someone feed gold fishes to his puffers before =(

Puffers are hard to keep in a community tank and you will need to have a lot of plants to break their line of sight. i used to have a green puffer.
