Stackable Overhead Filter

I am very new to this type of filtration system and I hope someone can tell me as to how to create a stackable overhead filter because the ordinary overhead filter does not seem to be stackable.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Basically this sort of stackable overhead filter are bought with an adjustable filter pump with each stacking layer the water just keep flowing from one tray to another via the slants of the tray itself.

If you are going for a planted tank, this sort of filter is not a good idea.
