Insecticide on driftwood

Hi

I have some driftwood which had some insecticide sprayed on them(once from aerosol can). What is the best way of getting rid of this or do I have to junk them ?? Can I boil it or lightly "burn" the insecticide off ?

I think a good way will be to determine if the spray has a oil or water based, if water, soak and wash will be good enough.. dont know about oil base sprays

Try not to burn them. I have tried burning some driftwood. Besides the BBQ smell, you will also end up with lots of soot and the wood blackens and when you soak it will blacken all the water for sometime. Mine blackens the water even after 15 rinses.
