    hi all,

my water has been infested with alot of white particles (really small) recently, making the water look very 'dusty'. they are practically everywhere, on the glass and some stays afloat in the water. sorry but i cannot be seen in photographs.

anyone's guess what it might be? and how do i fix it?

    thanks.

this was how the tank used to look like:

    It's not cloudy right ?
How recent was this tank setup ? If it was a new setup, did you rinse your gravel prior to using it ? Chances are, they might just be dirt that is free floating in the water. Try to increase the flow and have your filter take care of it, at the same time, perform some water change if the particles are free floating by sucking them out. Observe if the amount of particle increases.

its not cloudy, the water is actually clear, and it is not a new set up. i was actually out of town for a week and had my mum to take care of it, and it became like this when i got back.
it is like dust in the water. sticks onto the glass and when i wipe it off, it just suspends in the water.

i try clearing them by more frequent water change but it just keeps coming back. but its getting lesser though.

Could it be because your mum changed water for the tank? Experienced this a few times whenever i do large amount of water change to my tank. But it should cause no harm and will go away after awhile...
