Does anybody know what plant this is? I've been out of the game for a while and am quite amazed by what I can find now...

I saw the same background plant too at C328, was also wondering what this plant is and whether it will survive in a low tech tank without CO2?

Hi, i believe this plant will grow out of water after a short period of time and on a closer look, i don't think it belongs to the eriocaulon family though.

These plants are marsh plants. I don't think they're meant to be fully submersed. Those sold at C328 are usually stuffed into tiny holes drilled into the driftwood. I have no idea how their root systems are, but I seriously doubt they are epiphytic like the ferns and mosses.

ID-wise, I think it is an Eriocaulon, but it could also be a related family. Lately I've seen some terrestrial plants being sold as aquatic plants. It's a pity that some people still buy those.

Not sure what is the name but after some time under water, the leaves tend to melt off a little and then the stalks coming out in the middle will grow to the surface and you will get a new plant at the tip of the stalks.
