Spiky grows at a very fast rate. U need to do trim very often.

But usually I prefer US Fissidens

If you tied spiky moss to dw. After few months the shape if your wood will be totally covered by the moss. As for fissiden, at least the shape of your wood is still there when the fissiden fully matured
