Can anybody advise if the PSI reading on the gauge is supposed to return to 0 after the CO2 has been turned off?

Mine stays at 1000psi even after the CO2 has been turned off overnight. In fact it never comes down. Is it supposed to be this way?

    Thanks

since your gauge shows 1000psi, it is measuring the co2 tank pressure. it will remain at 1000psi until all the liquified co2 is used up before starting to show lower pressure. this will be indication for a refill.

    so no worries. it's normal

Usually there are 2 gauges... the one which you are talking about is the tank pressure.. the other gauge will show how much gas is left in the tank.

tank pressure and how much co2 gas is left in the tank is the same thing. the other pressure gauge, if there is one, show the pressure at the regulator output.
