Must be really dark for it to turn yellow. Shift some of the moss into the lit area and compare results in the coming days/weeks.
I have spikey moss tied to a drift wood in my tank. However since planting 2 days ago.. the colour seems to be getting 9 light green and I think they may have been melting. There are some leafy plants (not sure of the names) also melting. I suspect I may have a blind spot for lights because the design my tank blocks out light to that side ( approx 10 cm x 60 cm in area ). however the plants in the center seem to be thriving. vivapara are growing very well and hairgrass seem to be crawling.
If it is the problem with light ( blind spot ), I may have to find a way to fit a light at that side however will it be an over kill?
My tank specs
Water capacity : 200l
Chiller temp : 25 deg
light : 192 w mixture of 12000k and 7600k
fishes: none ( tank in cycling mode )
I will try to take a picture later as there is no light now.

Ermm... If you read my first post. I got 192 w of light in a 2x2x2 ft tank.. Should not be too dark
Mosses do turn yellow when there's too much light. You did mention a blind spot? Something that can't be seen from? Sorry- don't understand your question.
