I bought a submersible digital thermometer from Seaview. Well, it is affordable and looks great. But I find the thermometer a bit funny. It read 29 deg cel (range from 29.3 - 29.9 for 3 hours readings every 30 mins).

Do anyone of your experience such high temperature in your tank?

29 degrees is normal in singapore... do you want to bring the temperature down?

you can purchase fans to lower the temperature. ANS fans are often a good deal.

Great. I would like to bring the temperature to like 24-25 deg cel for my happy goldie. Think I will go look for an ANS fan. Any good model for a 2 feet tank and the price of it? So is Seaview a good place to get the ANS fan? I read the ANS fan is known for its silent. Thanks in advance!

I also read chiller is also able to do the job but it is expensive ain't.

Hi there. I don't think a fan will be able to bring the temperature down to your desired level of 24-25 deg Celsius. You would need a chiller to do that. A fan can only bring the temperature down by 1 and at most 2 degrees through evaporation.
My personal opinion is that your goldie will be happy with just that.

I think I will get the ans cooler instead of the cooler. The cost made a big different. So the ANS came in how many model? What is suitable for a 2 feet tank?

Fan can only bring the temperature down to 1~2degrees at the most
For 2 feet tank, install 2 fans will be enough.

    Hi itxno1,

I just got an ANS 3000 fan. It manage to bring down my temperature to 27.5 to 28.2. It dropped about 2•C. do you think one more fan will lower the temp more?

IMO, I also using ANS3000 fan for my 2ft tank, can only bring down from 29~30 to 27deg....added another fan...not much effect waste electricity only...and one more thing if the surrounding air is hot, fan cant do anything...make sure ur tank are put in a place where there is no hot air circulating.
