I just got 6 cardinal tetra and a spotted sucker. They looks great and are new addition to my community tank. I intended to keep them for a week before introducing new family members - 2 medium sized Ryukin.

Before buying the Ryukin, I will test the tank is properly cycled - ammonia is 0ppm, NO2 0ppm. I have read some post online and people do rear them together and they leave peacefully together as the mentioned tetra is docile.

Do anyone here forsee any issues and precautions I should take?
Tank 1: Hailea F60 - 590mm/335mm/490mm, 60L tank, 24W Fluorescent Dual Light (Blue & White). Internal fitler HL-BT400 filter - 380 L/H, 6.3x turnover rate, power 7W, max jet 0.9m. 1xDriftwood, 2 bunches of Java Fern, 2 bunches of Java Moss, 6 cardinal tetras (RIP), 7 Pearl Scale & 1 RIP, 2 black spotted sucker. Tank 2: Dymax IQ3 - 220mm/170mm/220mm ~8.22 Litres built in filtration (200-300 L/H; 5W), acrylic build and LED (1.6W) overhead light, ANS Planta Soil made in Japan, some bunch of plants.

Some of your cardinals might 'disappear'..goldfish feed on anything that fits into their mouths. And any plants that are not hardy.

Sad to mentioned, the 6 tetras died after 3 days in my tank. Please give a minute of silent to them. My condolences and apology for this mishap.

I added 3 new cute cute pearl scale about an inch each to my fish family. My surviving member is the outstanding spotted pleco, which is 5 days old in my tank.

I think I will keep with rearing goldfish first
