    Hi guys,

I am using an Hailea filter - model & specs (please look at my signature) to aerate and filter water. My filter have 3 setup possible.

    1) Vertical Spray bar - no control of water flow
    2) Vertical - no control of water flow
    3) Vertical with air tube - I can control the water filtration flow through a knob to allow how much air to be sucked in.

Initially I used setup no. 3 and I found out the water current is quite strong and the direct blowing of water/bubbles towards my goldie my hurt them and their fin might get thiner. If I reduce the air flow, the water filtration rate will get lower and I am worried that the tank turnover rate might not be enough for the goldie as they poop a lot.

For this reason, I changed to setup no. 1. I cannot control the current flow of my filter. After I changed to this setup, I felt there are miuch stirring and turbulence in
the water current. What should I do to help them less stress.

Today is my first day with these 3 pearl scale goldie. I don't wish for any death of my tank member

    Please help.
Tank 1: Hailea F60 - 590mm/335mm/490mm, 60L tank, 24W Fluorescent Dual Light (Blue & White). Internal fitler HL-BT400 filter - 380 L/H, 6.3x turnover rate, power 7W, max jet 0.9m. 1xDriftwood, 2 bunches of Java Fern, 2 bunches of Java Moss, 6 cardinal tetras (RIP), 7 Pearl Scale & 1 RIP, 2 black spotted sucker. Tank 2: Dymax IQ3 - 220mm/170mm/220mm ~8.22 Litres built in filtration (200-300 L/H; 5W), acrylic build and LED (1.6W) overhead light, ANS Planta Soil made in Japan, some bunch of plants.

for fish only tank, you might want to reduce your filter flow to about 2 or 3 times your tank water volume but I'm not expert on fish keeping though

do you have a rain bar? if have you can try puting one and face inside so the flow will be reflected to reduce the flow.
    Noobies in training!
