    Overheard at sam yick at pet safari that mini riccia and broad leaf ricca are slow growing compared to riccia....is it true?
    And oh..anyone knows when the search function is going to be fixed?

    Normal riccia every week or two, you have to cut.
    Mini riccia takes about a month or more before it's long enough to cut.

    How about the broad leaf ricca?

    Similar to the mini type. Slow growth but how long it actually takes really depends on the water conditions.

    The small ones you use those mesh to tie them down. What about the big ones, have not seem mesh with that big holes.

    If i'm not wrong they use the plastic mesh. commonly used for java moss or christmas moss backdrops.

    For riccia, if i dun cut at the most they will flow up to the surface right?
    how to cut anyway? Like cutting grass?
    Planning on getting mini riccia....heehee...someone selling in the buy and sell...

    mesh? few places u can look for.

    HARDWARE Shop - only those un-pure hardware shop where you might find an iron mesh. The one they put on top of clothes when ironing. Feel the texture to see if they fit.

    Supermarket - roughly u can find the same material mentioned above.

    Flower shop - not all flower shop u can find the soft type one and definitely u won't be going for the green one. They are too hardy.

    If all fails, just ask ur friendly LFS shopkeeper, tolong tolong and they will source one for you. Hee Hee, this is how I got mine.
