Hi all, there might be a few of you left from the Killies.com merger back in the day when we still had the Moss and the Men Who Love them threads, who recognize my username. I was that crazy kid in the USA who was sending mosses to the other side of the world. I've grown up a bit since then. These days I have at least 7 10gallon aquariums growing moss primarily, so I never really got any better about the moss addiction.

This summer I'll be in Singapore so I hope to finally see your LFSs (is bioplast still open?) and understand the temperature issues. Be able to experience a different lifestyle all together for a bit, as well as try some great food. I'm really looking forward to the summer, although if I remember correctly it is monsoon season right now.

Suggestions on everything more than welcome for a college student from the US. Any suggestions on things to buy before I leave vs, when I arrive etc will be appreciated as well. If anyone knows certain things that are harder to get in Singapore vs. the US or anything too I'd appreciate it. Maybe I can bring some aquarium stuff with me, but I think you guys have all the good stuff. (I can't bring any flora or fauna...)

Hi Andrew, welcome back. Most of us are still here albeit less active due to work while others are taking a hiatus from the hobby (personally, I'm trying hard not to over indulge with fishy stuffs).

Are you still mossing around or added more killifishes to your tanks?

As for things to bring, I'm not sure what you need but the greenback will get most things. When are you heading this way?

Wacky, I'm happy to hear that bioplast is still around. I hope to go at least once, so I may need directions. I'm not exactly sure where I'm living yet though.

RonWill, good to hear you're still active in the community. I still have a bit of a moss collection, no killies at the moment. I hear you on taking it easy hobby wise, while my tanks have increased my personal time invested has been much lower these past years. I have tanks just growing out moss at home and then I leave for most months of the year for school at Arizona State University on the other side of the US so I just have a mini m set up in my dorm room.

I'll be in Singapore for an internship from July 4 to August 12 give or take a few days. I'll have greenbacks for sure. Being the world's largest port I probably can get anything and everything in Singapore, dunno if there was anything that would be cheaper or is more expensive there or harder to get or something? I'll be in town six weeks july 4th to august 12th or so.

I'm a bit excited, Singapore has always been on my top list of places to go and now I've got a paid internship there!

Andrew, lest we missed out the obvious, I suppose your laptop + adapter + accessories is tagging along? We're using 220v AC, so keep that in mind if bringing electronic/electrical items.

Ron, the thought had crossed my mind a few times. I am probably going to try and buy new cables instead of adaptors for the major stuff. I would assume that Apple Computers in Singapore have a regional power cord that would work with the laptops that are sent to the US? I'll be here all summer so I want to avoid using adaptors if I can.
