Ooo, even though I am a wild betta person, I love a beautiful show betta. You have two really nice ones. Enjoy them!!

Hi! This is a beautiful specimen of show betta! You may want to keep the water clean by doing regular small volume of water change to prevent secondary infections from occuring. Maybe adding a ketapang leaf and staining the water slight tea color might work too since such leaves are also known to have anti bacteria properties. (i think)
All the best for its recovery!
    Cheers!

    Re: My new bettas

I don't think it got injured by the driftwood etc. Just looks like it lost some scales. If it happens to be a skin fluke infestation or some other parasite, the fish will show other symptoms. Nice show betta though.

    Re: My new bettas

Adding some salt to the water would help prevent secondary bacterial infections. Just continue to feed and monitor the fish. If it's eating fine, it probably isnt so serious.
