    Hi Bros

My mini fissiden on bogwood seems to be dying (turning brown and appears to be drying up) and i'm unsure what is the problem? There are also some newly tied us fissiden on meshes and bogwood. I'm afraid they will suffer the same fate if i do not arrest the problem soon.

I'm running a 5x2x2 tank, low-light with CO2. No ferts dosing. Was wondering could it be lacking of ferts that are causing my mini fissiden to turn brown.

Tank parameters as follow, please help.

    Ammonia - 0ppm
    Nitrite - 0ppm
    Nitrate - 5ppm
    GH - 71.6ppm
    KH - 35.8ppm
    Phosphate - 0.25ppm
    CO2 - 1bps (using Atomizer)
    Temp - 27degrees
    Lighting - Aquazonic T5 (2 x 80w)

    Many thanks in advance.

It depends on how you have handled your mini-fissiden. When you get your mini-fissiden, did you immediately tied itonto your bogwood or your mini-fissiden is left on a container that is devoid of light?

    Hi Bro Magpie

Mini Fissiden (matured) was already on bogwood when i first got it. I put it into my tank immediately when i got home.

Was wondering is it due to different water parameters but it only start to get strands of brown after 6weeks in my tank.

Some pictures will help. Mini US fissiden are low maintenance plants.
