hehe, there's some shrimp keepers who don't take their shrimps photo and share online, they scared that particular shrimp will die next day.

I'm not. So are most of the fish keepers in non-Asian countries. I think the businessmen who keep fish in their offices may be keeping them for feng shui reasons.

Some are , some not. Some people keep Koi, black gold fish for auspicious reasons, some just keep them for their own personal reasons. Some people called Pleco "devil" fish, but alot of people keeping them too.

haha, some people call the MOGWAI fish in chinese, actually MOGWAI fish should be stingray... not pleco...

its just a nick for pleco when we are dealing with LFS uncles which are not well verse in english.

for me, i did some research to put my tank at auspicious location in my house..no harm killing 2 birds with one stone..

Re: Are fish keepers very superstitious people?

Probably to some degree, yes those who own them are superstitious. I have an arowana on my aquarium and based on Chinese beliefs, they bring good luck to a house or a business. I do not have any business but I take care of one for my home, not really to bring any luck but just to have one.

There are even those who believe that death brought to your pets should have been targeted to a member of the family but rather was attracted to your pet.
