Hi, my 6mth old tank is having ph 6.5 and kh 3, so I
think my CO2 should be no problem. I'm using 4x36W PL and
substrate fertilizer. Now, I'm starting to dose liquid fertiliser. I'm giving 10ml of TMG weekly after water change. But I have problem understanding the dosage of macro NKP, even after going thru the forum. I just check my NO3 using tetra test kit, reading is 12.5ppm.

So if I'm using Nutrafin NKP, how much should I put on?

If everything is going on well in your tank, just stick to your routine.

Have you read the article by Tom Barr in the Aquatic FAQ thread http://www.aquaticquotient.com/phpbb...ic.php?t=12122. He stated some good and safe levels of N,P,K.

I am not sure about Nutrafin product. If you use it and still can get about 10ppm NO3, it should be OK. Make sure your K and PO4 levels are good as well.

    hi juggler,

Yes I hv read all the articles. unfortunately,
two of my plants r not ok. (plant names need to do
a search first, not good with plant names.)
The old leaves will turn brown, then will just decay
break off near the roots. Young plantlets will grow, but
    will turn brown, then died.

That's when i panicked & start to get CO2 tank and liquid
fertiliser. But then I realised that's not enough as I
    only dose traces only.

So I get Nutrafin NPK and just dose 10ml. B4 dosing,
I checked my NO3 is at 0-12.5ppm using TetraTest. The
colour scale is from 0, next at 12.5ppm, so no way
I can dose to 5ppm or 10ppm NO3. think i got the wrong
    test kit [] .

Saw some of the members talking dosing macros
individually, so just wish to learn more abt them.

think that's enogh, write too much already
