    Hi guys,

doing plenty of research and reading.
Eheim looks to be the choice for me now.

    My tank is 60x30x40.
Going to do a planted tank. attempting to grow HC now.
I have just neon tetras in it.

    I would like to get a classic , either 2211, 2213 or 2215.
    Just to check,
    A) media that comes with filter only for 2213 and 2215? 2211 cannot put media is it?
    B) Classic range got no priming function? the "sucking" method looks really troublesome. I fear drinking "bacteria" water....hahahah
also i'm not certain how easy is it to clean and maintain it.
    C) Can classic range hook up to a chiller or add reactor for my co2?

Alternatively, there are a few other models from the pro range that i am look at also
    1) Ecco PRo 130
    2) Eheim 2231

Just to check, does this 2 come with priming button?

    Appreciate all your responses. thanks.

    To answer your questions.

    A. Dunno about which ones come with media, but I bought the 2213 last week and got the version with media. However, I think that the 2211 might be too small for your purpose.
    B. Classic range does not have the priming function. But its the simplest of the lot to clean and maintain ( assuming you have the quick disconnect ). For me, I just used a pump to pump water in, never had to suck . But yes, priming is a nice to have.
    C. Yes, you can add a reactor and a chiller. But you need to make sure the flow is sufficient.

Yes, the Ecco series pumps have the priming function, but in turn you pay more.

Got myself an ecco pro 130 (500l/hr).
Very easy to use. No need to suck whatsoever. Cleaning is also a breeze. Though a bit more pricey, the power consumption is only 5W. That was my main consideration besides the higher flowrate compared to 2213 (440l/hr). [Price comparison content deleted. Please read this]
