Where do you stay? If around North-east ie. Hougang and Sengkang you can go to Serangoon North. Near PetMart there are a few hardware shops that sell a variety of S.S. wire mesh in different thickness and sizes. I bought mine there. Price I cannot remember but should be around $3-$4 for 1foot.
Quality wise, is it trustable? I won't want it to start rusting after a couple of months and then contaminating the entire tank.

I have been using it for 3months + now. It looks perfect to me. No tint of rust so far. Not sure long run will have any problem.
Stainless steel wire mesh are not really rust proof.. they will rust in long run too..
I had no idea that Wire mesh would rust that quickly! Can it be protected?
It is difficult to coat the mesh to be waterproof without a sealant, and given how the mesh itself is made of entwined metal "string", it can be troublesome to fully coat it.
My advice is to use plastic mesh, like the ones sold at hardware stores for various uses. See this link:

Article was done by timebomb, and pretty much explains the whole thing step by step. If you want reinforcement to the flimsy plastic mesh wall, attach it to a piece of egg crate, so you can position it in your tank nicely and held in place by the use of rocks or gravel to keep it upright. You can support the top half by using rubber suckers or other methods.
