Which LFS sells good bettas?

Hi all,

Anyone can recommend which LFS sells bettas in healthy conditions?
For some shops I've been to, the bettas are often in poor conditions.....so I'm worried about getting from these shops..

I believe 90% of the LFS here sell their bettas in the same way, basically one in a puny tank. If you are worrying about the conditions, buy from home breeders. Check the Marketplace, but chances are, these fish would be subject to the same treatment as well.

If I want a Betta I usually visit C328, but it's a hit and miss kind of thing when you buy from LFS. As long as the fish isn't emaciated or show signs of fin damage, genetic deformity, they should be fine if you put them through quarantine first.

c328 tend to have good one every now and then, but it is all on luck, whoever spot it first and i think their price is really reasonable

Kelson beta at roxy square specialises in bettas! Got mine there but be prepared to pay for quality!

My advice would be to get normal quality ones first and get the hang of it before delving into more expensive ones. True that the expensive and higher quality ones may be much nicer to look at, but if you are new to this hobby, the chances are likely that you wouldn't be able to give them the proper care unless you have done your own research from reliable sources.

Bettas in general can live by with normal conditions, but for maintaining quality ones, more care would be needed. feel free to ask around or pm me if in doubt. cheers!

May I know where I can find examples of nicer betta tank setups? Something like this one:





Most of the tanks I seen via a simple google search is really "normal"...so looking for some inspiration.

1. I do not know how to define Good betta. But Yishun Aquastar have some. New stock usually on Sat evening. But just now I went over, new stock already coming in. Most likely in batches.
Chong Pang Yishun is another good place for hunting.

At today's Luohan Show, I saw the biggest Luohan head bump in my life. My previous Luohan has no head bump at all. I like the fish's character but I'm not into bumps on the head.
