Nope, just live with it or change the tank.

Scratches are permanent. But you can reduce the risk of getting them by using melamine sponges to clean your tank walls instead of harder scrubs/razor blades.

Hi Emokidz,
I wouldn't recommend that (using those melamine magic sponge to clean tank glass). In fact, I was chastised by felix_fx2 for recommending this to other folks. In my own (slightly painful) experience, it does leave micro-abrasions on the tank glass. & because its surace texture is so good at trapping grime/grit, it can carry "rough dirt" around & scratch the rest of the glass.
In fact, while I was shopping at some household store at the basement of Jurong Point Shopping Centre recently, I picked up a "magic sponge" package & its instructions specifically specify not to use it on aquariums.
For me, i used a soft brown sponge by 3M. I also stated not for aquarium use. But i soaked it in hot water for about 45 minutes before i use it for the 1st time. So far, all my aquatic pets all surviving.![]()
Melamine sponge is supposed to be used on acrylic tank, not glass tank. But do be careful when using it as it will be abrasive on your finger if you do not use any gloves. Find the non-scented version if you want to use it on acrylic tank. Try not to use them while the livestock is in the acrylic tank.
