One choice is to wait for baby shoot to grow from the side....but cutting the main stem will encourage the new shoot to form, much faster and bigger....IMO.

Thanks guys, I already did both. Cut the tall one into 2 and planted the s tems back. Also managed to find a small stem sprout by the side and planted it tooThis plant is very nice as it does not amass its vertical height fast. Perfect for my 1.5ft tank!!!

Sorry I know its off topic but does anyone know other stem plants, non creepers, that are like the lobelia? Small , slow growing
Nana's gotta be tied to wood and the crypts can get kinda of big

You can try:
- Alternanthera reineckii
- Hygrophila corymbosa "kompact"
These are very nice plants.
