Riccia not pearling. whats wrong?

Just bought a new diffuser which provide better micro bubbles than my previous one. Did an experiment to find out the real problem of why my riccia not pearling. i bought a new set of T5HO with 2tube 12000k white tube.

Last night i raise one patch of riccia around 5" below my T5 i could see some very small pearling bubble but not alot. today i lower the height to 11" deep plus my new diffuser and a internal filter output flow towards that patch of riccia but no sign of pearling.

2x24w of T5 should be able to shine till 1.5" deep tank from what i read on forum. now only 11" deep cant even pearl. My tank is 16" deep. Any advice what should i do? Should i change to 6500K white or what.

Co2 2BPS, temperature below 27, new amazona soil, not using any fertilizer.

Bro, riccia will pearl under the right condition,but the problem is more or less

How many hours of photoperiod? You need at least 4-8 hours of continous photoperiod. From my observation, riccia will pearl slower when using 12000k lights but that does not affect their growth. Pearls or oxygen bubbles forms when water is saturated with co2 thus co2 levels in water plays a part too... So it does not mean anything other than eye candy.

some pearls are too small,you need to view from certain angle.

I on the light from 4pm till now.. no result come out. now small bubbles also dont have.

Great informative experiment you have there. i think i gonna give 6500k tube a try. Any brand for recommendation?

Bro, i am not saying 12000k not good,they also pearls but slower rate...

Light intensity, co2 levels all plays a part too. My lighting set up is 4x 24 and co2 levels are 25-35ppm (drop checker). Actually i think your setup is ok...don't need to pearl also no issue. Nice and healthy growth more important.

For branding...not sure but i am odyssea brand ones (so far so good,touch wood)

hahaha.. but mine not pearling at all.. abit sad.

ya. healthy plants is gd. but i bought riccia cause i wanna see them pearling, riccia that dont pearl feel wrong to me. haha.

ok lah. might get a co2 checker to have a check too. thanks.
