For those spot algae, you can try dosing Kh2PO4 whilst keeping your CO2 and nutrients in ampleness. It should be able to reduce the spot algae. This was recommended in some of the old postings. As for those affected leaves, just trim them off. Fyi, otos do not eat bga.

    Cheers!

ok, 1 week 2 days in, after 2 water changes, theres some spot algae growing on the glosso. think thats due to shortage of CO2. Put in 20 Harlequins last sat. Plants starting to run already, some have about 4 plantlets on a runner. Only thing is the spot algae, any idea how to remove it? Have 3 otos doing the dirty work, cant manage to get any SAEs. Should i dose Kh2PO4 or just leave them alone? What should i do? Havent started to dose anything yet, probably will start this weekend or so.

i've planted glossos for 3 weeks, so far they grow quite healthy, but the plant grow vertical instead of horizontal
here is my aquas spec :
    50(l)x35(w)X30(h) cm
light: 2x36w dymax 10000k for 12 hours, they hang 15 cm over water surface
    co2: 4-6b/sec for 24 hours
    my questions are :
-is the co2 (4-6b/sec) with the lamps off, could promote glossos to grow veritically, and how to overcoming that ?
    guys, please help

May I know what is u water KH & GH, glosso will creep easily with low KH+GH even with 2.5wpg lighting + good co2 + proper NPK. Resulting less green spot/algea.

Also try using 6000k-8000k light for better spectrum.

dude, let me tell u something, your over injection of co2 makes the glosso grow vertical. it just happened to me, i left my co2 on for 2 days straight and when i came back from holiday it was vertical with very long leaves, unlike when i was around and could manually off the co2. just trimmed off about a handfull of glosso. Any takers?

Heres an update of the status of my tank, Spot algae have been overtaken due to the fast growth of the glosso. Regular trimmings have been made, 1 mth 4days in. Glosso has fullly matured and creeped all around the tank and is very nice. Dosage is 5ml of dr mallicks lushgro aqua for first dose during water change and another 2.5ml 3 days after. Micros is added at 2.5ml each time together with the aqua. Raised the co2 from 1bps to 2 bps now. tried 3bps but it was over injecting and the leaves became long. Changed my school to 40 rasbora espei. Very small sized about 1cm each. 3 otos. 1 cigar. Theres some GSA on the glass and needs scraping every 3 days to provide optimum viewing pleasure
    Cheers
