    i have reading older posts in AQ about potassium nitrate,
    someone mention that potassium nitrate can only be sold in aqueous solution
    of below 5% concenteration. Can somebody tell me where can i find more infomation
    about this?

    Try looking through the MSDS for it, in my lab it is stored as a oxidizer and toxic chemical. It is stored in an aqueous solution of low concentration to prevent the inhalation of fumes which might cause respiratory problems.

    Also as it is a strong oxidizer, it makes sense for it to be sold in low concentrations or purity to prevent an explosion through a redox reaction

    someone please correct me if i'm wrong though, just reciting off my memory here.. Not sure if anyone will be selling this at a higher conc.

    You are right that it can be sold if below 5% (refer to Shadow's link)
    Example would be Seachem Nitrogen which is 1.5% & derived from KNO3.

    zero, the Macro Micro Nutrient from aquariumfertilizer. There have been people who bought it before.

    Macro Micro Nutrient Mix 1 lb contains 1 equal part each of Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Sulfate, Magnesium Sulfate, Plantex CSM+B.

    Felix you read my mind...... that why i created this thread.
    I read about the MMN mix and i contact the person there,
    apperantly the KN03 in the mix is low.
    Is it legal?
